1. Outstanding club project
- Ebenezer Project
Started the Ebenezer project in October 2021 with the Rotaract Club of Mengo (Ebenezer Children's Center Nakwelo)
We planted trees, provided pads and also taught the girls how they are used. Handed over a water purifier to provide safe drinking water(since it was a challenge for them at that time)
- YEP project
Also amidst covid gathered the women in the community and we did the YEP project. Since we couldn't move we had to improvise and use the things we had with little resources
2. What the presidency meant to you
For me it was leadership, to serve others by making a community Impact. At the time of my presidency we were in the second lock down so we were limited on activities to do. So I looked around how best I could serve my community by then. I partnered with ladies at the Maria Assumptah Women's Guild, were we empowered the ladies with Entrepreneur skills like baking, paper bag making, and liquid soap making among others.
3. Important lessons learnt
Mine would be 3; Delegation, decision making and building a strong team. We had to decide as a team to adjust to online fellowships and to have a shift of the YEP project. The board members were picked according to each one's interest and what best they could bring on the table.
